CEC Treasurer runs for Tailwaggers Appeal
Our CEC Treasurer, Amanda Wilkinson, trained over the summer to run in the Adidas 5km Challenge at Sefton Park in Liverpool on Sunday 7th September 2008.
Amanda ran wearing a furry tail and with her hair in high bunches to look like a dog. She had the Tailwaggers logo on the back of her running top to raise awareness.
Amanda completed the race in 41 minutes and 32 seconds, knocking a good 2 minutes off her personal best.
Amanda raised £120 in sponsorship, using the fundraising website justgiving and paper sponsor forms. By using the website another £20 in gift aid was also collected and sent direct to the charity.
